Early Life

Career

In 2012, Lindiwe worked as a sales receptionist for two years before resigning to join broadcasting. She told her mother she was quitting her job for journalism during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). She was accepted into the YFM Y-Academy internship program after two previous unsuccessful attempts. When her contract ended in 2014, Dube faced a difficult six-month period of unemployment.

Lindiwe later spotted an audition advertisement on Twitter (now X) as SuperSport looked for fresh talent. She initially hoped to balance weekday lifestyle radio at Power FM with weekend sports broadcasting. However, she chose television following scheduling conflicts.

She successfully auditioned for and became a signature presenter for the inaugural season of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge in 2014
