Faith Mangope (born November 7, 1986) is a South African broadcaster, news anchor, radio presenter, and entrepreneur. She is currently the host of Metro FM Talk with Faith Mangope.
The award-winning broadcaster built an impressive portfolio across several major media outlets. She got her start at Talk Radio 702 while studying at Wits University, and later went on to host shows for YFM and anchor television news for eNCA.

Early Life
Faith Mangope was born on November 7, 1986, in Mpumalanga, South Africa. She is the oldest of four siblings and became her family’s primary breadwinner after her mother struggled with the collapse of her marriage.
She later moved to Johannesburg after her mother remarried. She paid off her family’s home bond at 26 years old.
Education
Faith Mangope attended Sandringham High School. She studied industrial relations and psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand. She was inducted as a Mandela Washington Fellow in 2014, during which she studied entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Austin.
Career
Mangope fell into radio when she tried to help her friend with an audition at Primedia Broadcasting while a university lecture was cancelled.
She was spotted and hired by Talk Radio 702, where she worked as an executive producer managing top shows such as The John Robbie Show, Early Breakfast with Udo Carelse, Afternoon Drive with David O’Sullivan, and Talk at Nine.
In 2012, she moderated the Steve Biko Foundation’s Frank Talk Radio Dialogues. She also wrote “The New G” for The New Age Newspaper and was profiled as a top youth leader by BBC World News.
She has also worked as the station manager of the urban and innovative digital radio station, Massiv Metro.
In 2014, she was among the 500 participants in the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), which is part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Programme. She introduced former United States President Barack Obama for the YALI Summit.
Faith hosted the Power Lunch show on Power 98.7 before moving to Metro FM Talk. She is also recognised for delivering news on eNCA’s South African Morning Show.
She worked as the insert producer, current affairs analyst, field reporter, and presenter at the e.tv breakfast show, Sunrise. She also lectured on radio production at Interface Talent Management.
In 2019, Faith was named the official ambassador for Africa Code Week. She has been featured in many publications, including Destiny Magazine, Glamour Magazine, The Sowetan Newspaper, True Love Magazine, Cleo Magazine, Fairlady, Soul Magazine, Move Magazine, The Times Newspaper, and Drum Magazine.
Faith launched the Faith Mangope Technology and Leadership Institute (FMTALI) to support girls and young women in the community. She is the founder of FTA Media Communications and is also behind the New G app, designed to provide access to job opportunities.

She has been featured as one of the Top 200 South Africans by the Mail and Guardian and Independent Newspapers’ Top 100 Young South Africans. She currently hosts METRO FM Talk, which won a 2026 New York Festivals Radio Award for its current affairs special “Holding Power to Account.”
She has also emceed many major events, including the City of Johannesburg Women’s Seminar for abused women, the City of Ekurhuleni Women’s Seminar, and the National Department of Education’s youth program.
Personal Life
Faith Mangope is currently engaged to Sean McKenna, who proposed during an intimate dinner at a restaurant in Brazil on 21 December 2025.
