Tebogo Thobejane (born 30 November 1983) is a South African entrepreneur, actress, socialite, and podcaster. She is best known for portraying Belinda in the SABC2 television series Muvhango.

Early life

Tebogo Thobejane was born on 30 November 1983 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Her father is, the late Obed Thobejane. Sadly, her mother passed away from depression when she was 11 years old.

Education

Thobejane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Production from AFDA, the School for the Creative Economy.

Career

After graduating, Thobejane got a job as a booker at the artist management company X Factor. She later joined SABC 2 telenovela Muvhango as Belinda and portrayed Tsholo in the Mzansi Magic drama series Diep City.

Aside from acting, she has ventured into business. She has launched the waist-trainer brand Bofa Belts and a makeup range for modern women, Slay Kit.

She also owns the company Rush Productions, which mediates between African artists and clubs. Working closely with Taboo Group SA, her agency has brought stars like D’banj, Davido, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage to perform in South Africa.

In 2019, Thobejane was announced as one of the guest speakers at the Youth Influencer and Entrepreneurs Social Media Summit at Hilton Hotel in Durban.

She started shooting the City Girls with Tebogo Thobejane Podcast after appearing on Podcast and Chill. Her episodes have covered women’s issues such as beauty, anti-ageing, business, weight loss, and surgery.

Thobejane contributed to the show Ayeye as a scriptwriter, narrative writer, and supervisor. She has also been involved in many projects in other countries such as Nigeria and America.

She launched the Botlhale Foundation to support survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), online abuse, and cyberbullying. The advocacy group also raises awareness about trauma, mental health, and victim support.

Personal Life

Thobejane was previously in a relationship with businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala. She has a son, Botlhale Hakeem Thobejane, who trains as a boxer at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas. She underwent liposuction surgery after the birth of her son.
