Early Life
Mpume Nyamane was born on 6 April 1998 in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She earned her moniker “Six” while playing provincial hockey, where she played position six.
She played hockey from grade 4 up to matric, but stopped playing after moving to Johannesburg and couldn’t find a team.
Education
Nyamane studied finance at the University of South Africa (UNISA). After a few months, she stopped attending classes to pursue acting auditions.
Career
Nyamane made her professional acting debut in the 2019 comedy film Blessers, as the daughter of a businessman. She appeared in Soweto TV’s first original reality show, Single in Soweto, which chronicles the dating world during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Six appeared in the 2021 telefilm Korobela as Ntobe Langa. She played the recurring role of Amo on the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City, debuting in April, 2021. She landed another recurring role as Buhle on Scandal!, in the e.tv soap opera November, 2021.
Nyamane landed the recurring role of Akhona in the 1Magic drama series Unmarried, making her first appearance on 29 April, 2022. She later appeared in the SABC1 comedy-drama telenovela uBettina Wethu as Mandisa on 24 August 2022.
She later landed her breakout role as Nozipho Cele-Moroka on the SABC 1 soap opera Generations: The Legacy, first appearing in December 2022. She was later promoted to the starring cast before making her final appearance on April 24 2025.
She portrayed Phumeza in the comedy film Six in the City in 2023 and appeared as Lacey in Tropic of Love 2024. She starred as Zethu Hlongwane in the Mzansi Wethu telenovela Homecoming.
Personal Life
Six Nyamane married her husband, Mohale Nchaupa, on 12 April 2025. She has a son.
Imanuweli Mzingeli joined Eyaziwa in 2026. He holds a degree in Political Science from a prestigious university. Outside of his storytelling work, he enjoys reading and video games.
