Betusile Mcinga (born 19 April) is a South African gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He has released hits such as “Nyange Lemihla”, “Zundithwale”, “Abayiqondi”, “Ngena Noah”, and “Kuphelele”.
Mcinga has won several awards, including Artist of the Year at the 2017 Eastern Cape Music Awards and Best National Artist at the 2017 Mpumalanga Gospel Awards.

Early Life
Mcinga was born on 19 April in Willowvale, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He grew up in Mthatha (formerly Umtata), Eastern Cape. His mother, Dr Lusanda Mcinga, is a legendary gospel artist.
He began singing at an early age and formed a group with friends. He sang in church services.
Career
Betusile began singing at age 14. He started as a keyboard player for the Lusanda Spiritual Group (LSG) before becoming a backing vocalist.
Mcinga then took his music to the streets and local taxi ranks. In 2008, he went solo and released a 10-track album, “Mandibe Ngowakho”, known for the song “Ndiyanqophisa”. This project earned him a nomination at the South African Gospel Music Awards.
In 2008, Mcinga served as a judge for the Nedbank Music Challenge. In 2010, he released his second album, “Inceba Zika Jesu”, which featured collaborations with his mother, Lusanda Mcinga, and Eastern Cape artist Bulela M.
After his second album, Mcinga stepped away from music to drive taxis and run a grass-cutting business. Two years later, he returned to the studio. In 2014, he released his third album, “Kuphelele”, which had the hit song “Zundithwale”.
In 2014, Mcinga won Best Song of the Year at the Crown Gospel Music Awards. He later released another album, “Intando Yakho”, in 2017. He worked with Mxolisi Mhlongo and backing vocalists Buhle Nhlangulele, Futhi Mhlongo and Muzie B.
Mcinga released a live CD and DVD titled “The Highest Praise” in 2018. In 2019, he launched his record label, Nduna Events Management. He released his second live recording, titled “Indumiso”, in 2021.
In 2023, He rose to national prominence with his smash hit single “Ngena Noah”, which won Song of the Year at the 2023 Metro FM Music Awards and on Umhlobo Wenene FM. He also won a Texas Gospel Music Excellence Award (TGMEA) for Male Soloist Of The Year.
As a philanthropist, he launched the Betusile Mcinga Foundation to raise funds, collect food, and provide school uniforms for the less privileged. He started a talent search called “Battle of Municipalities Talent Search” after his 2023 Metro FM Awards breakthrough.

He and his wife also graced the cover of BONA Magazine for its October 2024 issue. In 2025, he collaborated with artist Lindo Mtangayi to release the song “Hamba Ngalamandla”.
Personal Life
Betusile is married to Zonke Lelomso Mcinga. The couple has been together for over 20 years and celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in 2024. They have three children.
